Advanced Aerodynamics and Multiphysics – AAM

We welcome applications throughout the year from people passionate about numerical simulation in fluid mechanics. Serving the aeronautics industry, our team works on aerodynamics, aerothermal, and aeroacoustics problems, and contributes to the development of advanced numerical methods as well as to the validation of two reference solvers: CODA, Airbus’s next-generation CFD solver, and ProLB,, a solver based on the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) used by Airbus and Safran, notably in the field of aeroacoustics.

Our topics are suited both to research-oriented profiles : physical modeling, development and analysis of numerical methods, validation, and to software-engineering profiles : code coupling, performance and high-performance computing (HPC), post-processing, testing, and industrialization. Many of our projects in fact lie at the interface between the two, and the complementarity of these skills is what makes our team so rich.

These opportunities are open to candidates ranging from the Master’s / engineering-degree level (Bac +5) up to the doctoral level, including postdoctoral profiles. If these topics inspire you, please don’t hesitate to send us your application (boussuge@cerfacs.fr), even in the absence of a posted offer: we review each profile carefully and will get in touch with you to explore the opportunities, current or future, together.
