Old Cerfacs-Cantera versions
This page summarizes implementations in the old "1.8" and 2.1.1 CERFACS versions of cantera.
These versions are no longer under development.

Jan 2016 : module load cantera/2.1.1_r38 (default)
- You can now artificially thicken flames. Use this input_chem.dat file in your working directory to provide usefull parameters to Cantera. Three types of thickening are implemented : constant thickening (Flamme thickening > 1.0), constant dynamic thickening (Flamme thickening < -1.0) or local dynamic thickening (-1.0 < Flamme thickening < 0.0); like in AVBP. Note that only the first line needs to be filled when using a constant thickening, and that it can be used with any mechanism. The dynamic thickening, however, can only be used for 1S/2S schemes at the moment, as it is based upon a reference reaction (see the AVBP website for more information about dynamic thickening).
- It is now possible to use the ethylene-air 19 species analytical scheme of Lu and Law with CANTERA: use the "TEST" kinetics. Follow the link to get the .cti file and more information.
May 2015 : module load cantera/2.1.1_r30
- Lower temperature boundaries (100K) for all computations. Be carefull though : thermodynamic properties are usually off at those temperature.
- Implementation of the PEA formalism. Be careful : if an input_pea.dat file is present in your simulation directory, it will be used by CANTERA.
Feb 2015 : module load cantera/2.1.1_r25
- It is now possible to use the methane-air 13 species analytical scheme of Lu and Law with CANTERA: use the "SANKARAN13" kinetics. Follow the link to get the .cti file and more information.
December 2014 : module load cantera/2.1.1_r20
- Implementation of the AVBP transport for global mechanisms. Input files input_thermo.dat and input_premix.dat must be present in your working directory. CANTERA can read the AVBP format XdX for double reals in those files.
- Implementation of the PEA formalism. Be careful : if an input_pea.dat file is present in your simulation directory, it will be used by CANTERA.
- It is now possible to use the methane-air 19 species analytical scheme of Lu and Law with CANTERA: use the "LULAWANA19" kinetics. Follow the link to get the .cti file and more information.
September 2014 : module load cantera/2.1.1
- Is the 2.1.1 original version which can also be downloaded from the cantera sourceforge website. The Python scripting differs from prior cantera versions, but migrating from the old python module syntax to the new one is realtively easy : go on this page to see how to alter your old scripts easily.
"1.8" Cerfacs modified version (based on the 1.7 original version)

July 2014 : module load cantera/1.8_avbp_r43
- Implementation of the PEA formalism. Be careful : if an input_pea.dat file is present in your simulation directory, it will be used by CANTERA.
- It is now possible to use the methane-air 19 species analytical scheme of Lu and Law with CANTERA: use the "LULAWANA19" kinetics Follow the link to get the .cti file and more information.
