In the middle of winter, Los Angeles is hit hard by exceptional fires fanned by very strong winds and large quantities of dead fuel.

Mélanie Rochoux, Cerfacs researcher, is working closely with Météo-France to model the interactions between fire, atmosphere and vegetation.
