It’s an alliance of 14 partners, all major players in the space and research industries: CS GROUPMagelliumvorteX-ioBRL IngรฉnierieCERFACSCLS GroupHydro MattersMEOSSICube-SERTIT and the Data Terra  research infrastructure (CNESCNRS – Centre national de la recherche scientifiqueINRAEIRD).

This initiative aims to revolutionise our understanding and management of water resources on a global scale by developing a sector of excellence in space hydrology and offering new products and services for observing, modelling and managing the planet’s water resources in real time. All of this is in line with the objectives of France 2030 and the European Destination Earth programme, while contributing to the United Nations‘s early warning services.

Today, water resources are only partially measured and monitored. HydroVenture provides a new response by combining spatial data and in situ data to monitor continental hydrological systems in real time. This innovative approach will overcome current challenges, notably data heterogeneity and the limitations of terrestrial sensor networks.
