Colloque Sparse Days 2013 au CERFACS, Toulouse
17-18 Juin 2013
The annual « Sparse Days at CERFACS » will take place on the 17th and 18th of June, just before the Preconditioning 2013 meeting at Oxford.
We intend to finish formal proceedings on the Tuesday in time to allow participants to catch the evening flight from Toulouse to London Heathrow.
The Sparse Days meeting will be similar in format to previous years.
No invited speakers and all talks in plenary session. As it is before the preconditioning meeting, we might expect an emphasis on associated areas, but contributions on any aspects of sparsity are welcome. In particular, talks on sparse optimization and on data assimilation would fit well with some of the current research at CERFACS.
Registration (Deadline : April 30th)
There is no registration fee and a limited amount of very low cost accommodation is available on site at the Meteo residences.

The deadline for doing this is 30 April 2013. However, it will help greatly with our planning if you can let us know in advance of that deadline that you plan to come.
Titles and abstracts for presentations of 30 minutes (although you can offer a shorter talk if you wish) should be sent to Xavier Vasseur (vasseur@cerfacs.fr). The deadline is the same (30 April) but these can be sent later than the registration.

How to reach CERFACS :
Arriving by air
Taxis can drive you to Meteopole in about 15 minutes. It will cost you around 25 €, or take the airport shuttle to Toulouse city center and get off at « Allée Jean-Jaurès » bus stop. Then, take the underground line A in direction of « Basso Cambo », and get off at Basso Cambo station. Then take the bus Line N° 8, in direction « Lycée Polyvalent », and get off at stop « Météo-France ». An underground+bus ticket will cost you around 1,60 €.
Arriving by train or going from the city centre to Météo-France
Matabiau railway station is in the city centre.
