The french Section of the Combustion Institute has chosen Dr Michael Bauerheim for his 2015 PhD prize. Dr Bauerheim worked on combustion instabilities in gas turbines (collaboration with SNECMA). His PhD manuscript is available here: https://cerfacs.fr/~cfdbib/repository/TH_CFD_14_81.pdf.
The jury was impressed by the originality of the theoretical and numerical approaches as well as by the numerous publications produced by Dr Michael Bauerheim.
