Space propulsion : understanding and simulating

Only numerical simulation allows to understand the very complex and critical phenomena belonging to the conception and development of the solid/liquid propellant rocket engines.

CERFACS develops a simulation tool dedicated to spatial propulsion, AVBP-GR, which is able to simulate turbulent/transient phenomena of rocket engines in realistic conditions. It also takes into account the supercritical conditions which occur in liquid-propulsion systems.
